Returning, after a couple of years. Hello again!

Post by blackberrybunny » Tue Nov 04, 2008 3:02 pm

Hi everybody! After a couple of years, I am back. I originally lost 69 lbs on SBD! And then I did okay for about a year and a couple of months, and then I blew it! Had some friends die suddenly of cancer, celebrated my 40th birthday, and since no one threw me an Over The Hill party, haha, I decided to treat myself. Since I cannot see to drive (I'm legally blind and stuck wayyy out in the country on a dirt road w/NO stores anywhere!) I wasn't able to buy myself a bunch of gifts at the mall.......... no shopping spree for me, so I did the next best thing in life that I enjoy----I ate whatever I wanted. And I've put on a little more than 20 lbs!

I had to go to my doctor today, a checkup, and boy, was I in trouble!! LOL But I promised him I'm set this right. And I had cleaned out the fridge and the cupboards yesterday, AND I made a shopping list. So I'm ready to start back on the beach today! This big, fine, important day---- ELECTION DAY!

I spent $200 in groceries and did not buy ONE snack item. I only bought veggies, cheeses, dairy, meats, legumes, the good stuff! I am feeling ready, and strong! Wish me luck!

BBB: Just found this, and I'm so happy you're back :muffin1: :muffin1: :muffin1: The beauty of this diet plan is that it works if you do it. You know what you have to do and I know you'll achieve your goal of a healthy weight. I gained 60 pounds, so you're ahead of the game with only 20 pound gain. Good luck :LJ:

Welcome back BBB! Yep, I know your story all too well. I lost 59 lbs doing low-fat, gained back 45, lost 40 doing SB, gained back 40 +, and am now doing calorie counting/portion control. It works well for me where I am at this point in my life..............but the important thing is that I'm trying again - AND YOU TOO!

Good luck to you and remember to enjoy life! The alternative stinks!! :lmao:
