Slumber Party to celebrate LIFE

Post by ladybugnessa » Thu Jan 28, 2010 2:06 pm

Ok Girls, hubby has agreed to run away from home some weekend in the spring.

I want us to have a big kick ass weekend at my ratty little house....

I have my room
one guest room with a trundle bed
one couch with a recliner a chaise and a queen sofa
one basement with two couches and room to put up at least 2 queen size air mattresses
(oh we have 2 full and 2 half baths)

so for those that don't mind sharing space and don't mind LOTS of dog hair Let's see if we can pull of a slumber party to celebrate life....

Now... I would like to wait to do this till late April Early May or early June

so Memorial Day is out I'm sure... but what works for you guys?

also what would you want to do besides sit and talk.....

we could take a field trip to washington DC
we can go to the stuff downtown in Baltimore (science center, aquarium, shopping etc)
or we can just hang out.

for those that want to drive it's off of I-95
for those that want to fly i'm about 30 minutes (with traffic) from BWI airport

so What do you say girls...

Gotta check a few dates out. I know May 7-9 and June 4-6 aren't good. I think I can make most of the other weekends work...it would be especially good if one of the other New Englanders could come with me. The drive to B'more isn't too long, with company.

I will check . If I could get a cheap flight, I would be okay. Otherwise, the drive isn't bad, but I can't miss too much work because of our trip in the fall.

Thanks for the offer!

I figured if we started planning early we could pull this off...

My May and June are pretty empty... Of course I am only an hour away - and umm 15 minutes away during the work week!
June 11-13 is the Great Grapes Wine Festival in Cockeysville if anyone wants to make that something to do... (We go every year, most likely I will work it again this year...)

I wish I lived closer, I'd definitely go. Airline tickets are about $600.00 RT now (technically not bad, but that's food and bills!)....I hope you have a blast, though! It sounds like so much fun!

May 1 is Derby (big around here ). May 9th is Mother's Day. I've checked several weekends, and it looks like I could get away with a $200 flight round trip. Tomorrow is the grand baby ultrasound, so we should have a more precise due date to look at...keeping in mind that she was 37 weeks with baby #1.

I hope I can work it out with my work schedule!!

the last 2 weekends in April work best for me. The weekend leading up to May 13 we've got a corporate conference in ATL, then some time (not sure yet when) thereafter C is graduating from college and she still hasn't decided if she's going to walk or not, but L is flying up to visit anyway. And early June is out - my b'day, and we may be taking our annual trip to Bermuda then.

Definitely would carpool with Fab and anybody else up in these parts.

I am a maybe. Most any week would work for me. I will have something one weekend in June, but I don't know which weekend yet. Then it is a matter of if I can find some decent airfare.

The baby is a GIRL and is due June 16th...but she delivered at 37 weeks last time which cuts in to May. Late April may work for me as well...but it depends on money (of course).

How about Skype for those of us who want to part of it at least a little bit but can't make the trip??? I'll even put on my PJ's and hang out with my pillow and my blankie!
